DA Scrum Masters, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Project Managers, Technology Managers, People Leaders and Architecture Owner with two years of experience working in an agile team.

FAQ's

The DASSM course has the following prerequisites:

  • Two years of experience working in an agile team, ideally in a leadership role such as Disciplined Agile scrum master, scrum master, product owner, or architecture owner.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of the DA tool kit by having done one or more of the following:
    – Taken the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course 
    -Taken The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course
  • Read section 1, or more, of Choose Your WoW
  • The DASSM exam will require more extensive study and in-depth understanding of the concepts from the DASSM workshop and the Choose Your WoW book.  

The DASM course duration is 3 days. You will receive a link to take the DASM exam and you can take the test within 60 days. 

  • The DASSM Course is suitable for you if you have – 
  • Taken the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) course. 
  • Taken The Basics of Disciplined Agile online course. 
  • Read section 1, or more, of Choose Your WoW—Complementary digital copy included with DASSM. 

The DASM Certificate is provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI) 

The DASSM certification is good for one year. To renew the certification, you must earn 7 PDUs in agile topics and pay the $50 renewal fee.

It's great to get a certification to confirm you understand the terms and concepts used by professionals; but it's even better when you know you can apply them in practise and help develop them in others. Agility Academy Trainer's "Certified Kanban Coach" course gave us the chance to compare and understand the Kanban practise as a group. As with his other courses he has clever examples, enjoyable exercises and gently guides the group as it needs. Debate is encouraged and comparisons and complications are shared. We had international participants from industries covering Finance, Software, Construction and Academia. In addition to covering the official training material for the certification we explored real world challenges such as Kanban in the construction industry where external factors such as supply disruptions are typical. There are many options to get a certificate but this course provided more than the confidence to pass the exam.
