When can I take this course?

  1. Secondary degree
  2. 21 contact hours of training in agile practices
  3. 12 months of general project experience within the last 5 years. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP
  4. 8 months of agile project experience within the last 3 years

 If you work on agile teams or if your organization is adopting agile practices, the PMI-ACP is a good choice for you. The PMI-ACP is evidence of your real-world, hands-on experience and skill as part of an agile team.

FAQ's

While there is no prerequisite for the DASM course, we do recommend optional pre-work to get the most value out of the training, testing, and overall experience, including –  

  • Familiarity with common agile concepts and terminology.
  • Review Choose Your WoW’s key areas that address learning objectives.
  • Take notes during the training workshop and review the workbook.
  • Organize a virtual study group to confirm understanding of processes, application, and concepts addressed in training.

The DASM course duration is 3 days. You will receive a link to take the DASM exam and you can take the test within 60 days. 

If you’re a manager who’s new to the Agile way of working., or a manager looking for growth opportunities by upskilling, or a Product/Architecture Owners looking to initiate an agile team. 

The DASM Certificate is provided by the Project Management Institute (PMI) 

The DASM certification is good for one year. To renew the certification, you must earn 7 PDUs in agile topics and pay the $50 renewal fee.

Kanban course was run by Agility Academy Trainer who is very knowledgeable and responded to questions in a friendly considered way. It's great to get a certification to confirm you understand the terms and concepts used by professionals; but it's even better when you know you can apply them in practise and help develop them in others. Agility Academy Trainer's "Certified Kanban Coach" course gave us the chance to compare and understand the Kanban practise as a group. As with his other courses he has clever examples, enjoyable exercises and gently guides the group as it needs. Debate is encouraged and comparisons and complications are shared. We had international participants from industries covering Finance, Software, Construction and Academia. In addition to covering the official training material for the certification we explored real world challenges such as Kanban in the construction industry where external factors such as supply disruptions are typical. There are many options to get a certificate but this course provided more than the confidence to pass the exam.
